Come as you are. I'll handle the rest.

Family sessions are my favorite kind of chaos. Little ones wander, someone laughs at the wrong moment, a toddler decides the grass is more interesting than the camera. That's the good stuff, and it's exactly what I'm watching for.

You don't need to know how to pose. I gently guide you, give the kids room to move, and capture the in-between moments you'll want to hold onto years from now.

We can meet at my cozy studio in Fremont or on-location at a park, a field, or your favorite spot, anywhere across the Bay Area and Central Valley.

How long is a family session?
My family minis run 20, 30 or 45 minutes depending on the package you choose, and there's always room for breaks and wiggles. We never rush.
What should we wear?
Try to avoid large logos, neon colors, or busy patterns. Neutral tones with one or two accent colors photograph beautifully and timelessly.
What if my kids don't cooperate?
That is completely okay. Children are meant to move, explore, and be themselves. I work with their energy, not against it. Some of the most beautiful images happen in those in-between, imperfect moments.
Can grandparents or extended family join?
Yes, I'd love that! Just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Where do family sessions happen?
At my studio in Fremont or on-location anywhere across the Bay Area and Central Valley. Travel within 30 miles of Ceres or San Leandro is included, and farther sessions have a small travel fee ($25 to $75+).
How will we receive our photos?
You'll receive a private online gallery link by email within 2 weeks, usually sooner. Your gallery stays active for 30 days, so please download your images during that time.

Booking Retainer

A $75 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your photography session. This amount is applied toward the total session cost.

Remaining Balance

The remaining balance is due no later than 24 hours before your scheduled session. All session fees must be paid in full before photography services begin.

Editing & Gallery Delivery

Editing and gallery preparation begin following the completed session, provided payment has been received in full.

Professionally edited galleries will be delivered within 14 days following the session.

Online galleries remain available for download for 30 days after delivery.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Booking retainers are non-refundable. Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and the terms outlined in the photography agreement.

Sessions may be postponed or canceled if payment is not received by the required deadline, in accordance with the photography agreement.

If weather becomes an issue, we will reschedule at no additional cost.

Life happens, and I always try to be understanding. The sooner you reach out, the more I can do to help.

Wedding Photography

Wedding bookings follow a separate payment schedule. A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve the wedding date, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the event.

RAW & Unedited Images

RAW and unedited images are not included with any photography service and will not be provided. All galleries are carefully reviewed, and the best usable images are professionally edited and delivered in high-resolution format.

Duplicate images, test shots, missed focus, closed eyes, and other images that do not meet my professional standards are removed during the culling process. This ensures every image you receive represents the quality and style of Moments by Renae.

Photography Agreement

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, all photography sessions require a signed photography agreement and the applicable non-refundable booking retainer.

Your agreement will outline your session details, payment terms, cancellation and rescheduling policies, image delivery, and other important information.

Your session is officially reserved once the signed agreement and required retainer have been received.
