About the session

One year old. One sweet mess.

Your baby's first birthday is such a big one, and a cake smash is the most fun way to celebrate it. Frosting on the cheeks, cake between the toes, that very first taste of sugar. I'm there for all of it.

Every session is safe and baby-led. We start with a few sweet portraits while they're fresh, then hand over the cake and let them decide what happens next. Some dive right in, some take their time, and both make for adorable photos.

The cake ($40 value) and a themed backdrop ($30 value) are included, and the Deluxe and Premium sessions leave time for two outfit changes.

Is the cake included?
Yes! The cake ($40 value) and a themed backdrop ($30 value) are included with every cake smash session. Cake and backdrop upgrades are available if you have something special in mind.
What if my baby doesn't want to touch the cake?
Totally normal, and still adorable. Some little ones need a minute, some need a gentle nudge, and some just poke it once and look at you. I work with their energy, not against it.
How many outfit changes can we do?
The Basic session includes one outfit. Deluxe and Premium include two outfit changes.
Can I add more photos?
Yes. Extra digital images are $20 each.
How will we receive our photos?
You'll receive a private online gallery link by email within 2 weeks, usually sooner. Your gallery stays active for 30 days, so please download your images during that time.

Booking Retainer

A $75 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your photography session. This amount is applied toward the total session cost.

Remaining Balance

The remaining balance is due no later than 24 hours before your scheduled session. All session fees must be paid in full before photography services begin.

Editing & Gallery Delivery

Editing and gallery preparation begin following the completed session, provided payment has been received in full.

Professionally edited galleries will be delivered within 14 days following the session.

Online galleries remain available for download for 30 days after delivery.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Booking retainers are non-refundable. Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and the terms outlined in the photography agreement.

Sessions may be postponed or canceled if payment is not received by the required deadline, in accordance with the photography agreement.

If weather becomes an issue, we will reschedule at no additional cost.

Life happens, and I always try to be understanding. The sooner you reach out, the more I can do to help.

Wedding Photography

Wedding bookings follow a separate payment schedule. A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve the wedding date, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the event.

RAW & Unedited Images

RAW and unedited images are not included with any photography service and will not be provided. All galleries are carefully reviewed, and the best usable images are professionally edited and delivered in high-resolution format.

Duplicate images, test shots, missed focus, closed eyes, and other images that do not meet my professional standards are removed during the culling process. This ensures every image you receive represents the quality and style of Moments by Renae.

Photography Agreement

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, all photography sessions require a signed photography agreement and the applicable non-refundable booking retainer.

Your agreement will outline your session details, payment terms, cancellation and rescheduling policies, image delivery, and other important information.

Your session is officially reserved once the signed agreement and required retainer have been received.
